a bit about us...
Our team is here for you.
To encourage, inspire, motivate and support you on your journey!
Daisy
Daisy fell in love with the feeling of being strong and capable more than 10 years ago which propelled her into her fitness instructor journey (despite being a self-confessed introvert). As co-owner of Elements Fitness with Mike, Daisy creates a space that is welcoming and encouraging. She’s big on mindset and mindfulness and brings a wealth of experience in different areas of fitness and wellbeing. Daisy is all about balance and a holistic approach – doing the work on the inside as well as the outside. She’s kind hearted, quirky and loves a good laugh. (although don’t assume that means she’ll go soft on you in a workout – she’s pretty tough as a PT). The gym is her second (or perhaps first) home and you’ll find her doing all the things around the place… in the office, doing PT sessions, teaching classes, organising spaces and working out (and swinging off a pole on Friday mornings!). One of the many things she loves about Elements Fitness, is having the opportunity to work with people and help them reach their fullest potential. Fun fact, Daisy once…ended up in hospital for a week because of the Simpsons.
Mike
Mike’s been picking up heavy things for a long time. More than 35 years in fact but luckily believes age related limits are a construct. Mike is passionate about exploring physical and mental limits. He has a lifelong interest in boxing, and competed in the amateur ranks as a younger man. Despite (or perhaps because of) lifting heavy things for 35 years, he’s still boxing. He’s the co-owner of Elements Fitness with the lovely Daisy – you’ll see him around on shift and is happy to answer any questions or spot you if needed in the weights room for that next p.b. lift. “Teenage years can be pretty tough, they were for me and mum and dad too! I love seeing young people take an interest in developing their abilities and resilience in the gym it kept me on the straight and narrow, so for our new members starting their journey I take a special interest in supporting them. Everyone has to start somewhere…I have had a few starts over the years myself!! I really like supporting new members with their fitness journey.”
Cam
Elements Fitness’s own flying fox Camilla (aka Cam). Often seen with a coffee in hand, she’s warm, loud and fun! Her playlists are fabulous and she’ll bring a bounce to your step. Cam is one of our teaching superstars – she teaches Circuit, Functional Flex, Mob Core, Pump and Balance… plus aerials – Hoop and Pole through her side hustle Aerial Curious NE. She’ll also take you through a mean PT session (although expect to laugh a lot). Cam has a tool kit of exercises and is known for strong alignment focus. She’s a philosopher at heart and if you get her started on life, the universe and everything else, you may be there for a while. Random fun fact about Cam – she used to be a mechanic in Sydney.
Ainsley
Commonly just known as Ains, you’ll hear her before you see her and when you do, she’ll surely welcome you with the smile that includes a tough session (she won’t be sorry about it either!). With almost a decade of experience, Ains has a knack for programming specifically for each client’s individual needs in PT and is another one of Elements Fitness’s superstars on the class stage teaching Pump, MetCon, HIIT and Mobility and Recovery. Results are important, but she believes that training needs to be fun to be sustainable. So expect to laugh in a session with Ains, and expect the unexpected. She firmly believes life is all about balance. Enjoy that cookie AND your training. Life’s too short! What most people don’t realise about Ains is she has a passion for cooking! Baking, homemade meals, birthday cakes, you name it she will attempt it! She also enjoys a solo getaway to clear the mind and soothe the soul. The beach is usually where she will head to spend some quality time with just her thoughts. Catch Ains in the gym, usually pretending to train while she is having a chat with anyone and everyone.
Maree
Maree is one of the OG instructors at the gym. We won’t even say how long she has been here through its various incarnations! Suffice to say, she is highly experienced and qualified fitness leader and is the mastermind behind our popular Balance classes. Maree helps make classes accessible across a broad range of capabilities, she offers modifications for individuals and aims to support members achieve their unique goals. She’ll certainly challenge you but with an ever-ready warm smile. Maree has her own following at the gym and if you come to her Balance classes you’ll find out why. Her special trick is always-being-just-on-time!
Kristy
Kristy is our bright, bubbly and caring baby sitter. She’s an Armidillian through and through and loves being a full-time mumma-bear. Each Tuesday and Friday morning from 9.30-10.30am, you’ll find her in the childcare room upstairs, with her two beautiful kids Harvey who is 2 and Layla who has just turned 1. “In the babysitting room, we love to play games, colour in and build with blocks. Our little people tend to settle quickly and get focused on the activities – we have heaps of fun. I absolutely love being around kids and caring for them!”
